Questionnaire analysis
Through the course of the questionnaire I felt that I chose the right question to help me have an idea on what my audience would like in a music magazine. If you go against the audience every time then your magazine will not sell. I came up with questions that were very relevant to the magazine and had a good variety of choices that had purpose with each question. Now I am going to analyse certain question to show you if went what the audience thought or had my own reason of not agreeing with them.
As you can see the result from this question is pretty much even. I can see why no one pick the concert review or album review was because no one really buy albums these days and now people download. So no one doesn't really care what is in the album. In my opinion the reason why no one chose concert is because most people would rather the interviews or enter in competition or find out what is in the world of music. A concert review would be the last thing a person reads in a music magazine.
As you can see with the question analysis above the people that tried the questionnaire didnt really like music magazines that much. Some people think that some music magazine are alright
but they still wouldnt buy it regualry. I fully understand because I rarely use to read music magazine before. In my opinion music magazine are really struggling compared to other genres of magazines. But for my music magazine I will try and attract my audience to read my magazine because I know what makes my audience want to read a magazine. I am one of the social groups (target audience) that my magazine is trying to catcher.
I discovered how diverse the genre of my magazine is going to be. The audience that I'm seeking out shows that they like Rap and R'N'B genre. I was suspecting that because Those too genre are dominate ones in the music world at the moment. But I'm bringing rock into this because I think that even rock and rap are completely different music but it blends in so well. For instance Lil Wayne is a rap artist but has now blend with rock music as the rhythm section and I think his audience will like that idea of the two genres.

From the questionnaire I am going to pick the interview for my magazines double page spread. The reason I have chosen this is because I think the interview will be more interesting and you can put your views in the interview in the magazine about the music artist. You cannot put a lot of your writing skills towards the other ideas like the free samples.

Double page spread analysis
I am analysising a double page spread from the NME that was published on 17th October 2009. This double page spread is about a new band called the "Temper Trap" and how they became a big indie band. On the front cover of the NME, "The Temper Trap" isn't shown as big on the front coverof the magazine than other artists so you wouldn't aspect big news from the "The Temper Trap". But as you read through the NME you can see that "The Temper Trap" actually has a double page spread right in the middle of the magazine so you know that it's one of the main articles in the issue of the NME.
The layout of the double page is very unsual than any other usual double page spread. This could be quite a challenge for people read it because the structure of the text is strange to follow. The layout is just one picture of the band right in the middle of the spread and the text is around the picture. The way its layered out is very simple and it shows that it has such a great affect on the page. The reason why I think it has been laid out great is because I think it's creative with the way the writing is surrounding the image and that gives you the thought of who they are talking about where you can glance in the middle and see who "The Temper Trap" are. In my opinion I see the layout of the writing very unique and I think it shows the highs and lows of "The Temper Trap".

The image on the double page spread that NME has created is very youthful. You can see that it connects well with the band and the setting because "the Temper Trap" are a new up and coming band and there posing in the streets where there is a painted goal behind them. Most likely kids will hang around the streets. That could also show what audience they are seeking out. It probably shows you that they are new to the business because people says that "everything start in the streets". On the image the guys just looks like they not looking at the camera and they are also talking to each other. This shows that they are not use to lifestyle of celebrity life. Whereas one of the band playing feels like he is living up the life of a celebrity with his sunglasses on posing to the camera. This is because he feels like he has seek out his opportunity to stardom from his hit single but it shows a bit of laughter because he is wearing sunglasses even though the image looks like its from a cloudy day but most celebrity wear their sunglasses anywhere. The title is very creative how it looks like it is painted on the wall. The same colour to the white football goal.
The typography on this page is very analytical of how they became a big band. The title "The song that won't die", says what the story is all about after you read the double page spread. That song that the "temper Trap" produce was played around everywhere in movies and advertisement from big channels but the public didn't know who was playing the song. The song "sweet disposition" was played only on the movie but became to be a chart number 1.
The typography is suitable to the teenage/adult audience because there is quite a lot words on this double page spread. It has swear words in the page like "bullshit" that won't be suitable to read. Some challenging words like "undoubtedly" and "fraught" is words that most adult would read.

Jude Rogers interview
It was a good experience to see what Jude Rogers has to say about her job in the music magazine, NME. It was very nice for her to give us her time or free time to explain to us what she does in the music magazine industry of being a journalism. I wanted to see what ideas or advice she could give to us in our music magazine before I walked by asking her questions relating to our subject.
She is a journalist for the NME and she does indepth interview with the big artist and bands around world from artists like Robert Plant all the way to the Jonas Borthers. As a journalist she is always prepare with her work trying to pick the right questions for the celebrity that she is going to interview. I found out that her are based in 2 different mind sets. One of them is that she brings outs the normal stuff from the celebrity she has interviewed but she tends to try and find the celebrities true personalities. On the hand she brings out her own qualities into writing her piece and this is because she wants to be a part of that page and she feels she had every right to publishing her way of writing it. She gave out some good advice by saying "if you truely love writing and the magazine industry by all means go for it". In Jude past the way she became who she is today is by creating her own magazines and giving them to magazine company and wait for the chance to sign her up.

Music magazine questionnaire
I am trying to create my music magazine and I want to know what my audiences are looking out for in a music magazine so what I did is a questionnaire to try and find out how my new magazine can catch people eyes and compete against other music magazine. I want to see what interests you in a new magazine these days and what you think that shouldn't be on a music magazine. I'm also seeking out my target audiences ideas of anything they may think fit in well in my music magazine. My target audience are mainly 16-25 because that is the age where people are into music and are likely wanting to know what's goes on in the music world.

Front cover analysis
The first thing you look at is a front cover of a magazine. The front cover catches the readers eyes by their colourful fonts and an image from the artist or band. The front cover presents you a brief look of what is on their magazine this week. The front cover has a lot of layers of different images and fonts and the cover shows many features that wouldn't see in the other sources of news. The front cover gives you the information as well including the cost of it, the bar code, the date it was release and the number issue. I analyzed the front cover this month Q magazine and on the front was the Prodigy.
